Welcome to the Impossible Futures Backing Program (“the Program”). By participating in this Program—including locking ANT, assigning Pledge Points, and interacting with backing tools or associated sites—you agree to the following terms. This Program is supported by The Autonomi Foundation, a not-for-profit entity whose sole aim is to support the ongoing adoption, development and health of the Autonomi Network. Any associated rewards connected to this program (either for builders or their backers) is derived from The Autonomi Foundation’s network token allocation. Please see The for details .
The Program enables users to lock ANT tokens in exchange for , which may make them eligible for token and cash-based rewards, depending on the outcome of the projects they support.
This is not a financial investment, and Pledge Points do not represent ownership, equity, voting rights, or any future stake in any application, team, or entity.
When you lock ANT, those tokens are held in a smart contract until 13:00 GMT on the 13th June 2026.
Locked ANT is non-recoverable during this period.
After the lock period, your original ANT will be returned automatically to the wallet that initiated the lock.
To be eligible for any ANT or USDC rewards, you must:
Have pledged Pledge Points to one or more apps that (See 4) to the Autonomi Network by 17 July 2025.
In the case of cash prizes, have pledged support during the first week of the backing period to an app that later wins a main prize.
If no projects you backed deploy successfully, you will not receive any rewards—but your locked ANT will still be returned at the end of the lock period.
For a finalist app to be considered successfully deployed on the Autonomi Mainnet, they must meet the following Criteria by July 17th 2025:
The application must have at least one fully operational core feature that users can interact with, demonstrating its primary purpose. This feature should work without critical errors, allowing users to experience the application’s intended value, even in its simplest form.
Example: A file-sharing app should allow users to upload and retrieve a file successfully.
Why this matters: Ensures the project delivers real utility and has moved beyond the pure conceptual or prototype stage.
The application must be deployed on the Autonomi mainnet and accessible to the public, not restricted to the development team or internal users. It should be usable by external users who are not associated with the project, proving it’s ready for real-world interaction.
Example: A user outside the team can access the app via the mainnet and use its core feature.
Why this matters: Confirms the project is truly “live” and available beyond a controlled environment.
The project must utilize at least one of Autonomi’s four native data types—such as chunks or registers—as described in the Autonomi white paper. This integration should enhance the application’s functionality and show meaningful engagement with the network’s decentralized capabilities.
Example: A messaging app might use chunks to store messages securely on the network.
Why this matters: Demonstrates that the project leverages Autonomi’s unique features, aligning with the platform’s purpose.
Provide minimal documentation or a user guide to help new users understand and use the application’s core feature. This could be as simple as a README file, a short tutorial, or instructions embedded in the app.
Example: A one-page guide explaining how to access and use the app’s core feature.
Why this matters: Enables external users to engage with the application independently, reinforcing its “live” status.
The value or utility of ANT, the availability of rewards, and the success of participating projects are not guaranteed.
