FAQs

Q. How big is the Rewards Pool?

The rewards pool for backers is up to 1.5 million ANT — but the exact amount depends on how much ANT is locked overall during the backing period.

  • As more ANT is locked, more reward tokens are unlocked, up to a maximum of 1.5 million.

  • The full 1.5M pool is reached if 10 million ANT is locked across all backers.

This dynamic model is designed to reward active participation, while keeping the system fair and sustainable.

Q. Can I back multiple apps?

Yes! You can back any number of apps, as often as you like, with any amount of ANT.

Q. What if the app I back doesn’t deploy?

You still get your ANT back after 12 months after backing ends— but no rewards or prizes.

Q. What apps can I back?

There are 12 finalist apps. Only those that successfully deploy by 17 July 2025 are eligible for prizes, and rewards to those who backed them.

Q. When are rewards distributed?
  • USDC Cash Prizes: 13 August 2025

  • ANT + Backing Awards: on the 13th June 2026.

Q. Can I back my own project?

Yes! Developers and team members are allowed to back their own apps.

Q. Is there a limit to how much I can back?

No — you can back as much as you like. There’s no cap on how many times or how many Pledge Points you can assign, and you can support multiple apps. Just remember:

  • The earlier you back, the more Pledge Points per ANT you get.

  • All backing is locked until 13th June 2026.

Q. How much of the prize pool will I get?

It depends on two factors:

  1. Which apps you backed — and whether they deploy Only Pledge Points assigned to successfully deployed apps are counted toward the reward calculation. If none of the apps you supported deploy by 17 July 2025, you won’t receive any rewards — but your ANT will still be returned on the 13th of June 2026.

  2. The proportion of total Pledge Points you contributed The total reward pool is shared across all backers of deployed apps, based on how many Pledge Points each person pledged. If you pledged 5% of the total Pledge Points across all deployed apps, you’ll receive 5% of the final reward pool — regardless of which projects you backed.

Q. Who decides on prize winners?
  • Main prizes are 60% based on the number of Pledge Points the project has, and 40% based on a judging panel.

  • Spot prizes are 100% decided by the judges.

Tip: Backing early and supporting high-potential apps maximises your potential for rewards and prizes!

Q. What is a spot prize?

Spot prizes are special awards given by the judging panel to recognise standout contributions — but still only for apps that successfully deploy by 17 July 2025. They’re not based on total backing or share counts, but instead reward:

  • Exceptional team engagement

  • Unique or impactful individual efforts

  • Innovative use of the technology

These are entirely at the discretion of the judges and exist to celebrate quality, creativity, and effort that go beyond the leaderboard.

Q. Can I get my ANT back before the end of the 1-year period?

No. Once you back an app, your ANT is locked for 12 months and 1 day. This lock is non-reversible — it's what enables the reward system to function fairly and securely. Your ANT, along with any eligible rewards, will be returned automatically to the wallet you backed from after the lock period ends.

Q. How do i stay up to date with the projects once I've backed them?

Once you've backed a project, you can follow its progress in a few ways:

  • GitHub: Follow their repo to see development activity in real time.

Q. Where does the Rewards Pool and the Cash Prizes come from? Who pays for it?
